So, maybe you know your colors, the look and vibe of your new home but would rather leave this job to a professional. That’s cool. Just like how you worked with a moving company, you’ll need to meet your painter or decorator in person, check out the samples of their work, get an estimate, and finally book them.
#9 Plan to be away from the home:
The decorating, then moving in process can be really time consuming. Make sure that if you hire painters, you provide them with enough time to complete the project, allowing for drying time before your movers arrive. Depending on the size of your home, this could be one-two weeks before you actually move in. Make sure that you are able to stay in your old place or with family and friends during this process.
#10 Enjoy your new, colorful space:
Hooray, moving day is over and you can finally relax! After the unpacking process, you can finally figure out where you would like to place your furniture, art and home essentials.
